JCTLM
EQALM is a stakeholder in The Joint Committee for Traceability in Laboratory Medicine (JCTLM) and involved in the planning group of JCTLM Workshops. JCTLM was established in 2002 by the International Bureau of Weights and Measures (BIPM), the International Federation of Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine (IFCC), and the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC). Its mission is to promote global standardization of laboratory test results.
JCTLM supports the development and use of reference materials, measurement procedures, and services to ensure metrological traceability and comparability of results worldwide—contributing to better healthcare and safer trade in medical laboratory devices.
A key resource is the freely accessible JCTLM database, which lists internationally reviewed reference materials, methods, and services that meet ISO standards. More information can be found here.
